Originally from Dublin, and having spent many years living in London, Aidan Geary is now based in Belfast. He is studying for an MFA in Photography at the Belfast School of Art.
His practice explores human intervention on, and interpretation of the natural landscape, and uses images of the land to examine perception and looking, politics, and identity. While primarily using photography, digital media is also part of his working method.
Aidan’s work has been included in group shows in the Douglas Hyde gallery in Dublin, and Embrace in Belfast. He previously studied multimedia at Trinity College Dublin, and has a background in digital media and television.
